Billing overview

Alfe bills you in two parts: a subscription and prepaid credits. The subscription covers your plan, seats, and managed agents. Credits cover the usage your agents run up. You’re never surprise-charged, because usage only draws from credits you choose to add.

A single subscription holds your plan and any managed agents you add. Each paid plan includes some managed capacity, and extra agents are monthly add-ons on the same subscription.

Individual plans can also include a usage allowance, which covers usage before credits are touched. See the included allowance.

Your account has one shared balance in US dollars. There’s no per-agent wallet and no per-provider bill, so every agent draws from the same pool. Usage that draws from it includes:

  • Model usage — LLM and image requests on Alfe’s pooled access.
  • Voice — text-to-speech and speech-to-text.
  • Mobile channels — phone and messaging usage.
  • Search and news — tools your agents call.
  • Memory and knowledge — processing and storage for what agents remember.

You add credit with top-ups, including optional auto-recharge. Promo codes and referrals can add credit too.

You don’t have to convert tokens, characters, or minutes. Alfe meters raw usage and records it as a dollar amount against your balance, so your history is already in dollars.

Before paid work starts, Alfe checks that your allowance or balance can cover it and that it’s within your usage limits. If not, the work is refused. Top up, turn on auto-recharge, or raise the limit to continue.
