Managing integrations

Manage installable integrations from the dashboard, the CLI, or the agent itself. This page covers integrations you install directly. Channels and connections have their own setup:

  • For Slack, Teams, phone numbers, and other messaging, see Channels.
  • For GitHub, Google Workspace, AWS, and other accounts, see Connected accounts.

Open the agent and select its Integrations tab. From there you can:

  • Install an integration, and fill in any settings it needs.
  • Configure an installed integration.
  • Upgrade to latest when a newer version is available.
  • Remove an integration you no longer need.

The tab only lists integrations the agent’s runtime supports. You can’t remove the core Alfe integration, which every agent has.

The alfe integration command, or alfe int, manages integrations for the agent connected on the current machine.

Terminal
# See what's installed on this agent
alfe integration list
# Search the registry
alfe integration search news
# Install an integration, optionally pinning a version
alfe integration install news
# Configure an installed integration interactively
alfe integration configure posthog
# Health-check one integration, or all of them
alfe integration status news
alfe integration status
# Remove an integration
alfe integration remove news

alfe integration install doesn’t create a connection or a channel. Add those from the dashboard.

An agent can manage its own integrations over MCP or the Agent API. That lets it install the tools it needs while it sets itself up.

These limits apply:

  • It can only install integrations that don’t need a connection or channel. Other requests are refused with a message naming the right place to set them up.
  • For an OAuth provider, it generates a one-use link. A person opens the link and approves access.
