alfe remove
alfe remove uninstalls Alfe’s integrations and undoes the runtime configuration
they applied. It cleans up Alfe’s own artifacts and leaves the rest of your machine
as it was.
alfe removeIt shows what it will remove and asks you to confirm. In a script, skip the prompt
with -y or --yes. Without a terminal, --yes is required.
What it removes
Section titled “What it removes”The command removes these Alfe artifacts:
- All integrations installed for the agent.
- The runtime configuration those integrations added, along with their tracking state.
- Local integration state under
~/.alfe/. - Alfe chats that ran on your own Codex, Gemini CLI, or Grok login, plus the files Alfe wrote in its own Gemini CLI and Grok workspaces.
For that last item, it only touches files Alfe’s hosts created. Nothing else in your Codex, Gemini CLI, or Grok home changes.
What it leaves alone
Section titled “What it leaves alone”alfe remove never removes:
- The agent runtime, Claude Code, or any other provider CLI.
- The agent’s workspace.
- The gateway daemon or its system service.
- Your
~/.alfe/config.toml, including your API key. - Runtime configuration you wrote yourself.
To disconnect the machine entirely, stop and uninstall the daemon separately:
